William Bramwell Sizer Diaries
Milwaukee County Police Department
These diaries are a mixture of work and family affairs of William Bramwell Sizer. William was on the Milwaukee Police Department and a member of the Sherman Street Methodist Episcopal Church, later transferring their membership to Kingsley Methodist Episcopal Church and died in 1916. The diaries give a pretty good view of life in the years involved. The diaries were given to me for presentation on this site by family members see contributors page.

I took him to dinner. Had a good visit. Mail at 1:45 for Ald. Meyer & Wd. Supt. Minnie & I went to see Ma & Laura at Alices this eve. Jake & Lois came at 10:30 to stay all night.

Went to Goerres Shop with Rooney. Mrs. Henn charges Becker with stealing wine. Becker is a former boarder & lover of Mrs. H.

Called wagon to Wright & Fond du Lac. Went to childrens day service at Kingsley with Minnie. Spoke to Cox about obstructing aisles with chairs. He snubbed me & defied the law. I told Black to remedy the matter, which request was partly complied with.
