Henry Willard "Bill" Spaeth, 1909-1975

 

My father Henry Willard (Bill) Spaeth was born in Owen, Clark Co., Wisconsin, on September 27, 1909 and died in Seattle, King Co., Washington in March of 1975. His parents were Charles Christian Spaeth and Agnes Wilhelmine Schultz. He had one sister, Grace Geraldine Spaeth, who was born May 23, 1907, and married in Pasadena, California, on December 26, 1943, to Walter Schneider (1909-1986).

My father quit college due to the depression. He was studying Forestry. He followed a friend named Radke from Owen, Wisconsin to Medford, Oregon, to work in a mill.
