Obituary of Mrs. Christina Marks

Relative of Local Folks Passes Away. Friday, Feb 3 marks the passing of Mrs. Christina Marks, nee Claas, at her home in Hubertus. Born May 24, 1864, at Fussville, she reached the age of 74 years. She was the wife of the late Henry Marks sr. Who died just a year ago. Nine children survive Mrs. Marks namely, Mrs. Anna Burg, this village; Mrs. Katherine Steger, Goldendal; Mrs. Hattie Schoenke, this village; Leonard, Hubertus; Mrs Clara Rott, this village; John, Hubertus; Mrs. Margaret Wagner, Hartford; Henry, jr. At home and Mrs. Rose Theisen, Meeker Hill. Also surviving her are 34 grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. John Weiland, town of Menomonee, Mrs. Henry Umhoefer, this village, Mrs. Joseph Umhoefer, town of Menomonee, Mrs. Joseph Brahm, Fussville, and Mrs. Conrad Haas, Beaver Dam and two brothers, Henry Claas and Fred Claas both of Fussville. Funeral services took place Tuesday Feb. 7, at the Haack

Funeral Home at 8:45 to St. Huberts church at Hubertus at 9:30 with the Rev. Weishaupf officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
