Tornado/Bad Weather

July 18, 1883

Daily Freeman
Waukesha, WI
July 19, 1883

Mr. Augustus Pynn, of Hartland, was in town Tuesday, and reports great injury to crops through his section by reason of the hail and wind storm yesterday.  The storm did not reach the proportions of a tornado, as it did in the towns of Ottawa and Genesee.

Hon. A.E. Elmore came to Waukesha monday for the purpose of visiting the County Poor Farm in his official capacity, but was prevented from doing so by the storm.  He took his departure for Madison Tuesday, and will visit the County Farm at a future date.
