History
The first meeting of this church was held at the home of Andreas Olson, December 27, 1887. It was known as the Vernon Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church until April 1953.
This is an active cemetery, established on Feb. 16, 1889 when Andreas Olson donated one quarter acre to be used for the cemetery.
During a church meeting January 25, 1892, it was decided church members were allotted one lot of one square rod, all others would pay $4.
Records
The extent of the cemetery records is not known. There is a chart of the cemetery plots. The records are not available for public researcher, however the association will assist you in finding information. They is usually no charge for requests. Mail requests are usually answered if they do not involve extensive research.
