These diaries are a mixture of work and family affairs of William Bramwell Sizer. William was on the Milwaukee Police Department and a member of the Sherman Street Methodist Episcopal Church, later transferring their membership to Kingsley Methodist Episcopal Church and died in 1916. The diaries give a pretty good view of life in the years involved. The diaries were given to me for presentation on this site by family members see contributors page.

H.J.W. Meyer and family to dinner today. Change day:- Genthe at noon. Av min temp for Dec. 25 deg. Av min temp for yr. 41 deg. Temperatures taken at bet. 6 & 8 AM in winter. 8 AM in summ

38 deg. W wind. Cloudy. Foggy. Dopke buried at Union Cemetery. Stolzenfeld & I went to see him in his coffin this morn. Went to cemetery at 3:45. Just in time for funeral. Mens banquet at Kingsley Church.

34 deg. NE wind. cloudy. Rainy. Thunderstorm early this morn. Foggy PM & Eve. Drill Day:- Back to beat at 5 PM. Walter's birthday. 23 yrs. old. Asked for an hour off this eve. Granted. Went to Sta. after drill. Got A&B Warr. for Mary Bolizinger 1137-21st, Martha Lauterbach, Comp. Notified Mrs. B. to come to Sta. at 7 o'c in the morn. Subp. witnesses & got home at 6:10 PM. Rev. Davis & Ida ate supper with us.
