After a long struggle with the dreadful disease typhoid-pneumonia-weeks of suffering to himself and of alternating hope and despair to his family and friends-little Eugene Jacobs, son of Dr. B.C. Jacobs, died on Sunday evening.  He was ten years of age, and a lovable child who will be sadly missed, not in the home circle only.  The funeral occurred Wednessday from the residence on Clinton Street, the Rev. H.P. Haylett conducting the services.

TEMECULA ---- Hertha Esther Jacobs, 85, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Valley Plaza Doctors Hospital in Perris.

Born Sept. 11, 1916, in Wisconsin, she lived in Temecula for one year. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her husband of 60 years; daughter; sister; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today, March 6, at Stout Family Funeral Home, 27135 Madison Ave., with Dr. Struikmans officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wis. Stout Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Nellie Jennerjohn, 51, for many years a resident of this village, died Jan. 26. at North Lake, where, she has been residing for a number of years. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Charles, of North Kaukauna; Edward, Pewaukee; Mrs. K. B. Roberts, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Frank Wallczek, Des Moines, Ia., Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon with burial in Forest Hill cemetery in this village.

Johnson, Allan E. "Lefty" of Menomonee Falls. June 18, 2000. Age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Nee Molle). Loving father; dear grandpa; dear brother. Alvan O. Johnson, 45, son-in-law of the late Judge T. W. Parkinson, died this morning at Waukesha Memorial hospital after an illness of several months. He lived at 710 Beechwood ave, and was a carpenter at the Waukesha Motor co., for the past 12 years.

He was born in Milwaukee Mar. 21, 1902, and married the former Ruth Parkinson on Jan. 17, 1931 in Waukesha.

Mr. Johnson was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

Besides his wife, Ruth, he is survived by one son, Tommie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Johnson all of Waukesha; two brothers, C. L. Johnson of Cleveland, O., and Warren K. Johnson of Mukwonago; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Elva Parkinson, Waukesha. A daughter, Janet, preceded him in death 11 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m., from the Handle Funeral home, the Rev, O. L. Merritt and the Rev. Samuel Olson officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Home cemetery. Fiiends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.

Mrs. Augusta C. Johnson who lived on S. Charles for many years, died this morning at her home on highway 59, route 2, Waukesha, following a long illness.  Had she lived until Saturday, she would have observed her 71st birthday.

Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 2, 1876 in Kewaunee, Wis.  She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for many years and attended the Grace Lutheran church.

She is survived by her husband, Otto C. Johnson, and one son, Clarence C. both of Waukesha; two brothers, William Trakel of Kewaunee, and Herman Trakel of Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. Gus Chapple, Green Bay.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Randle Funeral home an interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Royal Neighbors will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Ellen Johnson, aged 56, died last week Wednesday at her home at Genesee of heart trouble after a short illness.  Before her marriage she was Miss Ellen Gove and was married to Rollin Johnson in 1874.  He died last August.  Deceased is survived by three adult children-Frank of Eagle, Mrs. Louis Wheelock of Genesee, and Mary, who reside at home.  the funeral was held Friday afternoon.

Another of the honored pioneers of the county, one who was a brave soldier and a good citizen, Rollin J. Johnson, of Genesee, has gone to his reward, after a long and painful illness.

Mr. Johnson came to Wisconsin from his native place in New York with his parents. (14 years ago).  The family at once took up its new home in Genesee, and has ever since been honorably identified with the history of that township.

Rollin J. Johnson had been a resident of the town continuously since settling there with his parents, save for four years spent in the service of his country during the civil war. He enlisted in the First Wisconsin Infantry and served throughout the war. He was a member of W. B. Cushing Post, G. A. R., and the members of the Post attended the funeral services.

Mr. Johnson leaves surviving him a widow, one son, Frank of Eagle, and two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Wheelock, of Genesee, and Mary, who resided with her parents. There is also a brother. A. A. Johnson, surviving, whose home is at Corwith, Iowa.

The funeral took place on Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the Congregational church in Genesee, and Rev. Richard Ruddick officiated.

Again we are called upon to record the death of an old and valued citizen, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, wife of John Johnson, who departed this life on Saturday, 13th inst., after a long and lingering illness. The deceased had passed the allotted time of threescore and ten in the full enjoyment of all her mental faculties; a professed christian for upwards of forty years, and for a number of years a member of the Congregational church of this place. She has fought the good fight, and made the victory sure. Mrs. Johnson was born in Vernon, Oneida county, New York, daughter of John E. Waterman. Some of her relatives live in the state of Illinois. Her brother, E.J. Waterman, well known in the legal fraternity of Chicago, and her sister, Mrs. Hubert Crocker, of Port Washington, Wis., mourn her loss. Her daughter and only child, Mrs. L. Cunningham, was a constant watcher at her bedside until death closed the scene. The deceased moved west in 1846, with her daughter, Mrs. Cunningham, who until recently resided in Hartland; went to Merton in 1840; married Mr. Johnson in 1854; lived on a farm near North Lake until about five years ago, when they moved into the village to live. The funeral on Tuesday, at the church, was largely attended, although roads were impassable and the weather very inclement. Sermon by Rev. Mr. Gaskell; then dust to dust, ashes to ashes-thus endeth mortality.

Geo. Jones, an old man who for many years has been about Waukesha, died last night. He was very old, probably between 80 and 90 years. There is hardly a family in the village for whom Jones has not sawed wood. He had been living at the foot of Main street with Wm. Davis, a colored man.

Memorial Rites For Gl Slated

Memorial services will be held Saturday for Cpl. Kenneth L. Jones, who was killed in Korea on July 20. 1950.

Cpl. Jones, who was 20 at the time of his death, had lived at 1129 Baxter st. He entered service in August, 1948, and was with the occupation troops on duty in Japan before being sent to Korea.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Robert Dabson, and Mrs Charles Matthews, both of Janesville, and Miss Virginia Jones, Waukesha; and six brothers, William, of Janesville, Capt. Robert, in Korea with the U. S. Army, Staff Sgt. Stanley, with the Air Force in the Philippines, Melvin and Gordon, both of Waukesha, andt Frederick of Edgerton.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 10.30 am. at the Erling-Larson funeral home, the Rev. Ralph Ley officiating. Interment will be at Genesee cemetery. The VFW will conduct services at the graveside.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p m Friday

Mrs. Susanna Jones, wife of John A. Jones, R. 1, Waukesha, died Thursday morning at the age of 83. She was a member of the Bethesda church.

Surviving her are two sons, John E. and Thomas A., two grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Juanita Jones, all of R. I, Waukesha, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas H. Jarmon of Wales. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Randle funeral home. Rev. D. J. Williams and Rev. D: E McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in Salem cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.

Mary (Unknown maiden name-possibly Jefferies) Jones born 6/16/1829 in England Died 2/26/1907

The remains of Mrs. Thomas Jones of New Lisbon, but who formerly resided in this vicinity, were brought to Dousman Sunday morning and funeral services were held from the church there. Deceased was born in England and lived there until she was 21 years of age. Thereafter, she was married to Thomas Jones and they came to Wisconsin to reside in the year 1850. They lived in Cincinnati a few years, where Mr. Jones was employed in the iron works. Subsequently, they return to Ottawa where they resided until about five years ago when they moved to Dousman where they celebrated their golden wedding and lived there about two years. Then they moved to New Lisbon to be near their daughter. Mrs. Jones was a noble christian worker and a faithful wife and devoted mother. A husband and three children are left to mourn her death. Mrs. Wm. Clark and Will Jones of New Lisbon and George of Chicago, besides several grandchildren and a great number of friends. The family has the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.

Thomas J Jones died at his home on Chestnut Street Oconomowoc early Tuesday morning, September 14, death being due to cirrhosis of the liver.

Thomas J Jones was born 11 June 1830 at Cardiganshire, Wales and came to America in 1847 with his parents. They located at Waukesha later moving to Genesse. He was married at Nashotah 18 October 1860 to Miss Sarah J Foster. Mr and Mrs Jones removed to Missouri where he enlisted in Co K Eleventh Missouri regiment and served in the Civil War, being wounded at the battle of Nellaville. After the war they returned to Wisconsin where they resided for some time. They later moved to a farm on Brown Street where they made their home until their removal to Oconomowoc in 1890. Mr Jones leaves a wife and six children: Mrs John W Richardson, Mrs Victor L Ingersoll, Henry P and Frederick C Jones, Milwaukee, Mrs Arthur Meyer of Okanchee and Mrs William Fetkenhaner of Oconomowoc. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren. The funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at 2.00 clock from the residence with burial at LaBelle Cemetery. Rev. LE Shanks conducted the service.

Wm. Jones, one of Pewaukee's foremost citizens and founder of the Pioneer Market established in 1869, died at his home Monday noon, at the age of 77 years. He was born in the Town of Pewaukee and at the age of 4 went to England with his parents to reside. Here he was married to Harriet M. Palen, returning to Pewaukee in  1869. Mr. Jones was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge for 51 years and was prominent in the civil life of the community, having served on both the Village and school board for many years. He is survived by his widow, four sons and one daughter, W. C., J. F., J. M.. F.M, and Miss Amy H. Jones all of Pewaukee.

Funeral services will he held Thursday at 2 p. m. from the home. Rev. Neff officiating. I.O.O.F. services at the grave and interment in Forest Hill, Pewaukee.

A large number of people attended the funeral services of William Jones, who was carried to his last resting place in Forest Hill cemetery Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Mr. Neff presided at the house and the I.O.O.F. members had charge of the services at the grave which were conducted in a very impressive manner by W. Emerson and Robert Freyer. George Steele, S.G.A. Irish, George Christoffersen, A.D. Hoyt, were honorary pall bearers; Jens Larson, Harry Cooper, John Morrow, H.J. Hintz, Ely Anderson and George Allen, active pall bearers. among those who attended the last rites were Clinton Tuttle, Hastings, Minn.; Mrs. Dell Rhoads, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Esther Alexander, Bloomington, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Jeffry Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aitken, Mr. and Mrs. George Barley, Bert Lidicker, Hang Oleson, Milwaukee; r. and Mrs. Pilts Ellis, Judge Agnew, John Ross, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, Mrs. Jeffery Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Young, Mrs. Herman Gilljohan, Milwaukee, assisted with the singing.

William H. Jones, 62 years old, passed away Thursday morning, at his home one and one-half miles north of Pewaukee. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters-George, at home' Byron and Mrs. Harold Taylor, of Pewaukee, and Miss Ruth of Janesville, Wis. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29 the Rev. Mr. Simister of Pewaukee officiating, and interment will be at Forest Hill, Pewaukee.
